Kathak is one of the most popular and major forms of Indian classical dance. The kathak dance is also one of the oldest forms of dance of north India. The term kathak comes from the travelling bards in ancient northern India known as kathakars (Means story teller). Kathak is the dance in which performers generally do story telling through their hand movements, face expressions and extensive foot work. Kathak evolved in many years ad centuries.
